The trailer has been completely refurbished with new tires, sandblasted fenders, and professional paint. This book is my bible for wood boat restoration. The owner restored the boat with over 950 hours of restoration time, renovating the bottom with the some of the best materials available, including: a new White Oak keel, chines, transom new Mahogany frames and bottom new Ocumbe inner bottom at $125/sheet 3M5200 rubber laminated bottoms CPES saturated boards and 2 coats of Apoxy barrier coating the bottom. Mahogany Bay took the boat in around 2007 for a survey and found that the bottom was rotten and old. In 2004, the upholstery was newly replaced and the gauges and fuel tank were refurbished. The rebuilt engine was so powerful that a new propeller was put in as a replacement. The 283 Engine was rebuilt by Hudson Marina completely after having been put to good use on Lake Minnetonka by the owner in his youth. From 1998 – 2000, her interior, engine, chrome, gauges, and exterior were paid to be completed. With the new 5200 bottom gone are the days of swealling the bottom. Powered by the original rebuilt 95HP K motor this old wooden boat has been fully restored and is a true piece of history. A great investment! The original owner is sadly moving away from Lake Minnetonka and would love to pass the boat down to someone who will put her in good use. Katz's Marina, the 1 retailer and restorer of antique wooden boats in the country is offering this 1942 17' Chris Craft Runabout for sale. She is a a show boat and can be truly fun with the right owner. This classic boat is literally a piece of art! Practically a new boat, this 1962 20′ Chris Craft Holiday has been under renovation and restoration for seventeen years.
